Mick Karima
Chairman

Mick is a career banker who started his career in FMCGs before joining Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe as a mid-career recruit in 1997. In 2000, he left Zimbabwe to join Citibank in Nairobi in the Non Presence Countries (NPC) Unit.

In 2001, he relocated to Johannesburg to join Citibank South Africa, assuming the role of Unit Head for Southern Africa covering countries of Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho and Namibia.

In 2006, Mick was transferred to Citibank Congo to set up the Corporate & Investment Banking Unit following the end of the civil war in the country. He spent 4 years in the country where he trebled the size of Citibank in the country in terms of balance sheet and revenue.

In 2010, he was transferred to Citibank Cameroon, a franchise that was losing market share in the country to assume the role of Corporate & Investment Banking Head for Cameroon and Chad. He stayed more than 5 years in the country where he transformed the fortunes of the business and doubled both the balance sheet and revenues.

In 2016, he moved to Tanzania to join NIC Bank as Executive Director. Upon successful completion of the merger with Commercial Bank of Africa in Q3 2020, Mick relocated back home after a 20-year absence to focus on growing various businesses he has been involved in.

In addition, Mick is also President of Moringa Properties, a property development company in Zimbabwe.

Mick has a passion for transforming lives of ordinary Zimbabweans and mentoring leaders of the future. He is involved in a number of investment projects in the country to create jobs and rebuild destroyed livelihoods after 20 years of economic instability.

Carole Benza
Managing Director

Carole is a Marketing and PR professional who started her career with then Zimbabwe Sun Hotels Group in the 90’s. She rose through the ranks to become Guest Services, Entertainment and Promotions Executive for the group.

Carole left Zimbabwe Sun Hotels to start her own Events Management Company. She ran it for 16 years, growing it to be one of the largest events management companies in Zimbabwe. Carole left day to day management of this company to a management team she had groomed to become one of the founding directors of Roseacre Farms and Feeds.

Roseacre Farms & Feeds gave Carole an opportunity to pursue her passion for poultry and animal husbandry, having had the exposure in her formative years at the family smallholding. She has been active in the poultry industry since then on a part time basis, producing broiler chickens and eggs under the Sunrise Brand. She therefore understands the needs of the poultry and animal husbandry farmer.

Carole is a member of Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) and Empretec Zimbabwe.

Carole likes reading and spending time with her children, nieces and nephews she is nurturing to be entrepreneurs of the future.
